Ensemble GETÖGON
Our unique instrumentation can be thought of as neo-baroque: each of the traditional roles in the baroque ensemble (strings, wind, keyboard & bass) are present.
With the addition of percussion, voice/various & electronics as our fifth role, the possibilities of our musical voyage are seemingly endless.
In addition to our collaborations with composers, we also welcome back a wider group of returning performers throughout each of our yearly seasons.
Founded in 2022, Ensemble Getögon is a contemporary art music quintet based in Stockholm, Sweden.
We produce, write new music for and perform monthly concerts of contemporary art music throughout the year.
Our founding mission is the commissioning, platforming and dissemination of the music of living composers.
The main body of our work consists of collaborations with composers and sound artists.
